Job Description
The Software Engineering Associate 3 assists the team in executing routine software engineering activities, well covered by existing procedure and processes, in supporting the delivery of the engineering strategy and roadmap that supports BT’s commercial strategy through cross functional project and technical delivery and the participation of a team that pursues innovation as well as engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Support in Technical Solution Implementation: Assists with routine tasks in implementing technical solutions for both customers and internal colleagues, working within cross-functional squads to contribute to domain-specific or cross-domain technical activities.
Perform Technical Reviews: Engages in regular technical reviews to continually update knowledge and skills in software engineering principles and best practices.
Assist in Design and Development: Collaborates with the team to design technical specifications and develop software solutions, primarily for smaller or less complex projects, documenting the quality of delivery.
Conduct Routine Coding Activities: Performs coding tasks such as writing, testing, refining, and rewriting code under close supervision, ensuring effective communication with the team and relevant engineering professionals.
Support Software Integration: Helps in integrating existing software products, solving issues to enable incompatible platforms to work together seamlessly.
Monitor and Correct Software Defects: Assists in maintaining systems by monitoring performance and correcting software defects to ensure stability.
Implement New Architectures and Standards: Supports the implementation of new architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale enterprise systems, contributing to the modernization of infrastructure.
Education and Skills :
Troubleshooting & Debugging: Expertise in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software issues, ensuring smooth functionality and system stability.
Agile Development & SDLC: Skilled in Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes to enhance collaboration, flexibility, and continuous delivery.
Database Design & Development: Proficient in designing and developing database structures to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and management.
Programming & Scripting: Strong command over programming languages and scripting to create robust and scalable applications.
Microservices & SOA: Knowledgeable in microservices and service-oriented architecture (SOA) for building modular and scalable systems.
Version Control & IT Security: Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git and a strong understanding of IT security best practices.
Cloud Computing & CI/CD Automation: Expertise in cloud computing solutions and automation tools to enable continuous integration, delivery, and orchestration.
Software Testing & Application Development: Proficient in various testing methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability, with strong skills in application development.
